Using multiple media such as paintings, sculptures and installations, Lin's works reveal the inspiration of Zen Buddhism. His forms expose a hidden structure, an underlying current that flows between the various constituent parts, known as "qi." Qi, a traditional concept and practice from ancient Chinese, is regarded as the energy within nature, the cosmos and within the bodies of living creatures. Lin is an associate professor at Tainan Techology University in Taiwan. Exhibit curator Robert Morgan will present a lecture from 5 - 6 pm. The reception will follow from 6 - 8 pm. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free.
