John Christopher is an Audit partner in the Energy practice of KPMG's Houston office. John has more than 12 years of experience in providing audit, assurance and advisory-related services to public and non-public domestic and internatonal clients. John serves as KPMG's Oilfield Services audit market leader in support of the Energy audit sector leader. John's primary emphasis has been in the oilfield services (OFS) and exploration & production (E&P) sectors of the energy industry, as well as the global manufacturing. John has advised several public entities on initial public offerings and registration statements for equity and debt securities. John also has significant experiece with SEC 1934 Act filings for public clients. John serves as a KPMG National Instructor of firm-wide training courses, primarily for the Energy practice. John also serves as an IFRSChampion, PCAOB Auditing Standard 5 Champion, and as a SFAS 123(R) Audit Resource for the KPMG Houston office. Prior to his career in public accounting, John served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 6 years as an infantry team leader, serving in the war operations of Desert Storm (1990-1991) and the humanitariam operations for east Africa(1992-1993). Mr. Christopher holds a BBA in Accounting from Lamar University.
