The Lamar University Master of Education Degree in Teacher Leadership – Gifted and Talented is available as a residential program or fully online. It is a non-thesis master's degree program designed to develop instructional leaders who can carry out a vision of learning to include designing curriculum, implementing research-based instructional strategies, motivating students, using assessment for learning and engaging the community to support learning.
The Master of Education Degree in Teacher Leadership – Gifted and Talented at Lamar University, either on-campus or online, provides the academic climate and practical experience necessary to produce teachers and other specialists of superior competence in their chosen fields.
By establishing high expectations for all students and using data to inform curriculum development and instruction, you will learn creative instructional strategies to manage, motivate and engage all types of students at all stages of development and ability levels.
This degree is different from one in educational administration in that it focuses more on instructional practice and less on organizational supervision and the business and management of schools.
