Our group is particularly interested in the molecular behavior of macromolecules (biological as well as synthetic plastics). We investigate the kinetic and thermodynamic changes in simple systems such as polystyrene with the help of probe molecules and use the results to model the behavior of complex systems such as proteins. Our results have a range of implications in polymer processing and drug design.
