If you hold an accounting degree from an accredited domestic business program, you will likely have satisied business and accounting leveling requirements and may complete the degree in as few as 34 credit hours.  

If you enter the Lamar M.S. PA program with an undergraduate degree in business from an accredited business school, you may need to complete accounting leveling courses. You will likely have satisfied the business leveling course requirements and may complete the degree in as little as 49 credit hours. 

If you have no previous undergraduate study in business and want to become CPA exam-ready, you will need to complete business leveling and accouning leveling courses. You may complete your M.S. PA degree in as few as 67 credit hours.

Typically students without a business background will take the six accounting prerequisite courses including ACCT 2301 (with a “B” or better), the five business leveling courses and the 12 courses required for the M.S. PA.
