Dual MSN/MBA
The College of Business MBA program and the Graduate Nursing Studies program at Lamar have joined together to offer a dual-degree program leading to two separate graduate degrees: a master of science in nursing (MSN) and a master of business administration (MBA).
The MSN/MBA dual degree combines a quality nursing education with the necessary business skills to help set organizational policy and priorities in the health care field. MBA core courses for dual-degree students were chosen by program administrators to provide the most relevant content for application as a nursing administrator.

Test Waivers
Many students interested in the dual degree also are interested in our GMAT waiver. To qualify for a waiver, students must have:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and
- Four or more years of advancing professional experience
Current MSN Students
If you are a current MSN student, you do not need to complete the online MBA application. Just submit a GMAT score or GMAT waiver and email mba@lamar.edu to let us know you would like to add the MBA as a dual major.
