Nurses During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Qualitative Study
The COVID-19 global pandemic has taxed the health care system. As the primary healthcare professionals in hospitals, nurses have cared for these patients during all stages of the illness. As the pandemic has taken its toll on individuals across the globe, it has certainly taken a toll on nurses at the bedside. The results of a qualitative study of front-line nurses working during the pandemic demonstrated a resiliency and professionalism that is inspirational. These nurses had recommendations that can help other care givers adapt to, withstand, and recover from catastrophic events such as pandemics.
