My name is Dr. Lisa A. Wines. Thank you for visiting my webpage! Just a little about myself, I have a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and a Master's Degree in Counseling. My undergraduate degree is in English, therefore, I enjoy writing and being a wordsmith!

I am licensed as a professional counselor and certified as a school counselor in the state of Texas. I have approximately 13 years in the public school system, 10 years as a school counselor at both elementary and secondary levels, and nine years in higher education, combined with adjunct and full time faculty positions. I served as a lead counselor in middle school, and have supervised counselors-in-training for almost a decade. Additionally, I have worked in both behavioral and psychiatric hospitals with geriatric, adult, and adolescent populations, along with private practice, where clients come in sometimes dissatisfied with decisions made during their life-span. I continue to work in my own private-practice in the Houston area.
