Dr. Cagatay Tokgoz received the 2022 University Merit Award - Congratulations Cagatay! (5/11/2023)
Dr. Cagatay Tokgoz's applications for the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Summer Faculty Research Program and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Faculty Fellowship Program were both accepted. Since he was a Summer Faculty Fellow with AFOSR three times, he decided to accept the ONR offer. He is appointed as a Senior Summer Faculty Fellow with the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Carderock Division for Summer 2023 - Congratulations Cagatay! (5/11/2023)

Dr. Sayil has published his 3rd book titled “Noise Contamination in Nanoscale VLSI Circuits” by Springer. This book is part of the book series: Synthesis Lectures on Digital Circuits & Systems (SLDCS) and provides readers with a comprehensive introduction to various noise sources that significantly reduce performance and reliability in nanometer-scale integrated circuits.

Dr. Sayil, Dr. Tcheslavski, Dr. Yoo have received funding from the NSF IUSE program for a 3-year term on improving the quality of electrical engineering online laboratories. The project, titled “Promoting Engaged and Active Learning Through Collaborative Online Lab Experiences,” will implement various learning strategies in five electrical engineering courses in order to improve the quality of electrical engineering online labs. Dr. Hassan Zargarzadeh, assistant professor in electrical engineering, has been awarded to enable LU’s Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems Lab to pioneer research in artificial intelligence. Black and Decker’s CRC-Evans Oil and Gas has awarded $97,949 for Zargaarzadeh’s grant proposal titled, “Performance improvement of the CRCE's artificial intelligent engine for detection and classification of weld defects and characteristics in radiographic images.” More details are available.
Dr. Sayil has published a book titled “Contactless Measurement and Testing Techniques” by Springer (2018). This book provides a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art contactless probing and diagnostic measurement methods for VLSI after highlighting VLSI test challenges.
Dr. Cagatay Tokgoz was awarded a patent to advance wireless sensing and monitoring technologies as well as wireless collection of data from aerospace systems on commercial and military aircraft and rotorcraft. Read more.
