Curriculum Vitae

Stefanie Becerril holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Language and Speech Sciences from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She also holds a master’s degree in Communication and Learning Disorders with a Bilingual Certificate. Stefanie has worked as a bilingual (English/Spanish) SLP primarily in public schools.

Currently, she teaches in the undergraduate and master's programs at Lamar University and supervises 1st-year graduate student clinicians at the on-campus clinic working with clients who stutter, clutter and individuals interested in accent expansion. Her current research and teaching interests include the cultural and linguistic diversity, fluency disorders, counseling in communication disorders, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
