The TSUS Office of General Counsel provides advice and serves the legal needs of the University and its employees when they are acting in the course of their employment. Legal services are provided in employment and equal opportunity issues, litigation support, contracts and agreements, real estate transactions, policy development and interpretation, student affairs, ethics, compliance, conflicts of interest and public information.
The TSUS Office of General Counsel cannot provide legal advice or representation to employees or students about legal issues of a personal nature (e.g. divorce, wills, landlord/tenant issues). In addition, the Office of General Counsel does not provide advice in matters unrelated to university business or to individuals whose interests are or may be adverse to the University.
