My name is Waverlee Cooper, and I am studying Biology Pre-Dental and am also the Reaud Honors College’s student worker. Working at the Reaud Honors College is an amazing experience! When I am not busy with any tasks, I can study for my classes and complete assignments. I feel extremely privileged to work at such a prestigious college.  

What is so great about working as a student worker, particularly here at the Reaud Honors College, is the flexibility often allowed between class schedule and work schedule. As a student, finding an even balance can be difficult. However the RHC always encourages putting our academics first.  

In addition, I absolutely love the work environment! I am surrounded by so many kind, welcoming, and hardworking faculty members. When I come to work, it feels like another family.  

I have been a student worker at the RHC for almost two years, and it is one of the best choices I’ve made here at Lamar University. Everyone here pushes me to be the best I can be, and we all hold pride in being a Cardinal. I have made so many connections here that I will hold on to for the rest of my life!
