Awakening is an organization dedicated to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ at Lamar University. Our vision and our passion is to see a Great Awakening of the Holy Ghost, and to see a Book of Acts experience unfold in the lives of all those who desire it!
The Baptist Student Ministry exists on the Lamar campus to seek God in all things, reach others for Christ, teach truth and send servants across the hall and around the world! They are located behind the Dining Hall on Lamar University's campus.
The Catholic Student Center is place great place to share faith, community and build friendships! We are open 8:30-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:30-4:00 p.m. on Fridays. We have daily Mass Tuesday - Friday at 11:30 a.m. with Free Lunch after every Tuesday Mass. Confessions are 5:45 every Sunday or by appointment. Sunday Mass at 6:00 p.m.
We reconcile students to Christ, equipping them through Spirit-filled communities of prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship and mission to transform the university, the marketplace and the world.
Christians On Campus is a group of lovers of Jesus Christ who desire to share their faith and Christian experience with anyone at Lamar University seeking to find the unique truth and fulfillment in Christ presented in the Bible. Our weekly Bible studies consist of a meal, singing, prayer and Bible reading and discussion. At times we offer travels to join other campus groups around Texas for special college age conferences as well as individual appointments for shepherding in the truth and life of His Word.
The mission of Fellowship of Christian Athletes is to present the Gospel to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
The Purpose of the Fraternity
The purpose of Gamma Phi Delta Christian Fraternity, Inc. is and shall be to provide men with the spiritual and intellectual values for a successful academic and professional career, family, and life. Gamma Phi Delta Christian Fraternity, Inc. is an educational and non-profit organization, established to promote Christian leadership training through a variety of activities including, but not limited to the following: service projects, retreats, evangelical outreaches, national, regional and local programs.

The vision of Gamma Phi Delta Christian Fraternity, Inc. is and shall be to provide an organization for men, who have dedicated themselves to Jesus Christ in every aspect of life; who desire to grow and show excellence (1) spiritually, (2) mentally, (3) physically, and (4) socially. Gamma Phi Delta Christian Fraternity, Inc. is a fraternity for brothers who choose to be committed to God by taking their communities for Jesus Christ. We will achieve this through fellowship, evangelism, and discipleship, in return becoming real men, men after God’s own heart.

The Psalm 150 Gospel Choir is a dedicated, united, and uplifting ministry on the campus of Lamar University. We minister the word of God through music! Our main objective is to keep God at the center of everything we do.

Cardinals for Christ exists to make disciple-makers on the Lamar University Campus! We are committed to excellence in everything we do. The three areas we focus on most are our Thursday Night Worship service which meets at 7pm at Lamar Baptist Church, our Connection Groups which are groups of 3-4 people who are interested in growing deeper in their relationship with God, and Missional Living, which means that we seek to engage people with the Gospel not only in a Worship Service, but in the dorm rooms and classrooms as well.
Our mission is to welcome College Students looking for a place to connect and call home. We help you to stay connected with Christ's love, build you into leaders, and keep you connected to local churches. We have free dinner on Thursdays evenings starting at 4:30pm.
Young Life College offers a place for College-age folks from Lamar University a chance to have a blast, build community, be real, and learn about God in a non-threatening way. It's a inter-denominational Christian organization that has been around since the 1940's, but started on the LU Campus in 2015. Small groups meet regularly!
