Faculty-Led Programs

Every year, Lamar University faculty members lead a variety of programs abroad. Faculty-led study abroad programs typically last from 1-3 weeks during the summer, winter break, and spring break terms.  If you don’t see a program that fits your major or interests, we have many other short-term program options for summer and winter through USAC or CIS. Send an email to studyabroad@lamar.edu, and we’ll start exploring programs for you!

Find more information on our current faculty-led programs below!

Winter 2024 and Summer 2025 Faculty Led Programs TBA on this page in July 2024. In the meantime, visit our Instagram @studyabroadlu to stay up-to-date!

Do you want your professors to teach a course abroad? We are currently accepting faculty proposals for study abroad 2024-2025 study abroad programs until June 1st. Send us an email at studyabroad@lamar.edu letting us know your major and where you'd like to travel, and we'll reach out to the faculty of that department on your behalf!

Students traveling on trips sponsored by Lamar University must pay a $200 deposit to enroll. This amount is deducted from the total balance of your trip. Students traveling on trips sponsored by a third party are responsible for paying the third party directly, including any deposits required by the third party organization.

All above listed prices include program fees, airfare, ground transportation, activites/exercursions, and some meals. They do NOT include tuition paid to Lamar to receive course credit or passport/visa fees.

Email studyabroad@lamar.edu if you have questions about any of the programs or to schedule a study abroad advising appointment.
