About the Author
A native of the Texas Gulf Coast, Gerald Duff has won prizes and recognition for his poetry and fiction, including membership in the Texas Literary Hall of Fame. He has published over twenty novels, collections of short stories and poems, and memoirs. He has taught literature at Vanderbilt University, Kenyon College, Oxford University, and John Hopkins University. He grew up near the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation in Texas, fascinated by the legends and stories of its people.
