Devan Burton's debut collection of poetry explores life, love, and the natural world in the time of Black Lives Matter. Filled with imagery, quiet meditations, and moments of profound reflection, these poems give voice to important issues in contemporary society. Rooted in the poet's personal experiences as father, college professor, and Black man in Tennessee, they reach towards the universal experience of what it means to be human.
