Solitary Architectures, Selected Poems, Kornelijus Platelis

Translated from the Lithuanian by Jonas Zdanys

A world poet who happens to be from Lithuania, Kornelijus Platelis is famous for the wide range of his subject matter. In this collection we see his fine eye for detail and imagery in writing lyric poems that sing celebrations of feelings and passions familiar to us all yet made new by the power of poetic expression.

Master poet Jonas Zdanys, whose first language is English and whose other first language is Lithuanian, offers us fresh, new lyric poems that began with the poetry of the noted Lithuanian poet Kornelijus Platelis. Solitary Architectures is among the best translations of poetry from another culture and language into English.
