KVLU gets 'Totally Jacked'
Jack Palestine, host of On the Edge, will take over the airwaves at 91.3 KVLU Public Radio on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, for "Totally Jacked," a 14-hour live marathon. He will broadcast from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. as a part of the station's end-of-year fund drive.
“This is radio without a net, so anything can happen,” said station manager Byron Balentine.
Palestine will bring his own special mix of music and thoughts to the listening audience for 14 hours of live entertainment.
A non-profit public radio station serving Southeast Texas, KVLU offers a wide selection of commercial-free news, talk and music programs from National Public Radio and American Public Media. We also produce a diverse offering of local programs featuring classical, jazz, alternative, ambient music, documentaries, and more. The station is licensed to and operates from Lamar University.
