Holiday Jazz Concert set to swing
The Lamar University Cardinal Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Rick Condit, will present its annual holiday concert on Tuesday, November 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rothwell Recital Hall on the Lamar University campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature contemporary and traditional big band literature plus some special seasonal tunes.
“We enjoy being able to share some fun arrangements with the public that can only be performed at this time of year,” said Condit.
The concert will also feature Boneheads, a new jazz trombone ensemble directed by Tim Dueppen, assistant professor of music.
Admission to the concert is free, but those planning to attend are encouraged to come early as seating is limited and this event has proven to be quite popular in recent years.
