ExxonMobil Presents Lamar University with $147,450 Employee Gift Match
Lamar University (LU) received a gift of $147,450 from the ExxonMobil Foundation today as a part of the
company’s Educational Matching Gift Program. The grant is the result of a three-to-one match of contributions donated in the previous year by company employees, retirees and surviving spouses.
ExxonMobil Beaumont Refinery Manager Ryan Bucholtz and Public and Government Affairs Manager Nakisha Burns presented the check to Dr. Ken Evans, president of Lamar University, at a Cardinals’ baseball game.
“We are grateful to ExxonMobil for its support in generously matching the contributions of its employees who have shown their confidence in Lamar University,” said LU President Ken Evans. “Large numbers of LU alumni contribute to the success of ExxonMobil through their work. We are delighted that they, and ExxonMobil through its three-to-one match, are supporting the strength and growth of Lamar University.”
