LU nursing ranks fourth in affordability
Besthealthdegrees.com ranks Lamar University fourth in the nation for most affordable online Master’s of Science in Nursing for 2020.
The ranking includes fully online and hybrid M.S.N. programs from reputable, accredited nursing programs across the nation and is based upon current Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System data organized by tuition cost.
The Dishman School of Nursing is vey proud of this recognition,” said Cynthia Stinson, chair, Department of Nursing, Joanne Gay Dishman School of Nursing. “The School works everyday to provide quality affordable education to all our students in collaboration with Lamar University's administration and partners.”
Lamar University offers two concentrations, one in nursing education and another in nursing Administration. Both concentration tracks require a total of 37 credit hours in order to graduate, and each program has students participating part-time and full-time. Additionally, these students are held to very high standards that include but are not limited to gross and fine motor skills, social and behavioral cognition skills, high levels of communication with patients and other professionals, and critical thinking, even under pressure.
