The Lamar University Mary Morgan Moore Department of Music is proud to present the third annual Collage concert to benefit Music students. The event will take place on March 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the University Theatre located on the university campus.

“The department is excited to present our third annual Collage concert featuring our students performing everything from opera to jazz. There will be a little something for everyone! Last year’s event raised more than $15,000 for our students, and we are hoping to build on the success of 2019 and raise even more this year,” said Brian Shook, department chair. “These funds will be used to relieve our students of their financial pressures and also provide them with unique musical and educational experiences while at Lamar.”

The event will feature the Department of Music’s finest large ensembles and small chamber groups performing a wide range of genres. The quick-paced and seamless concert will highlight the variety of talent Lamar University has to offer, including a world premiere titled In the Mornings We Studied by Nick Rissman, professor of music theory and composition.
