The Lamar University Ambassadors Program is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 academic school year. Lamar University Ambassadors represent the study body at official executive level university functions. Individuals chosen to serve as LU Ambassadors work to promote university pride among students, alumni and friends of the university; have a high level of involvement on campus; and are well informed about the university and what it has to offer students, alumni and the community. Lamar University Ambassadors are among the best and brightest student leaders at the university.
To apply for membership in the Lamar Ambassadors an applicant must:
- Be a full time, officially registered Lamar University undergraduate student who is in good standing with the university
- Have completed at least one full semester at Lamar University and have at least three full semesters left at Lamar University after application deadline
- Have and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0
- Submit an Ambassadors application including a letter of interest, transcript, faculty/staff recommendation, and resume
- Have approval from his/her college dean
