When McDonald Gym opened in 1958, it became a campus landmark. Today it is the competition venue for LU Volleyball and features a high performance maple wood floor and retractable seating for 500 fans.
The Lamar University Cheerleading Team is a competitive, co-ed team that performs at all home football and basketball games, traveling tournament games, and various community events.
Members must be full-time students at Lamar University or Lamar Institute of Technology and have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
