Jim D. Seratt teaches the U.S. history surveys. His research interests include the American Civil War, American religious history, the 1960s, the civil rights movement, and American presidential history. Since 1975, he has worked in the pastoral ministry in California, Missouri and Texas. He is the founding pastor of Grace Community Church (1983 – present) in Vidor, Texas. His book, Another Way: The Path Less Traveled, was published by Creation House Press in 2003.
