Ken Poston created or co-created the history survey courses and Texas history course for Lamar's distance learning offerings through Academic Partnerships.  He holds teaching and research interests in Depression-era American history and in sports history.  Mr. Poston has contributed to the Historical Dictionary of Stuart England and has published in the Texas Gulf Historical and Biographical Record.  He was named Beaumont A&M Club Teacher of the Year, 2005-2006, and received the Beaumont Rotary Vocational Excellence Award for 2006.
