HireACardinal Career Closet

The Cardinal Career Closet is designed to help students embody success as they launch their careers without having to worry about how to afford it. Located in Galloway 102 and managed by the Center for Career and Professional Development, the Cardinal Career Closet offers new and gently loved business casual and business professional wardrobe options to students as they prepare for professional events, such as interviews, internships, career fairs, and more.

The Career Closet is open to all Lamar University students.To visit the Career Closet and browse our current inventory, schedule a Career Closet Consultation appointment through Handshake. During an appointment, students can expect to have support from trained staff while searching for and trying on items in a safe, clean, and private space. We strive to include clothing for students of all shapes, sizes, and orientations, however we cannot guarantee the availability of styles to meet your preferences.

 

HireACardinal Studio

HireACardinal Studios offers current students the chance to get a free professional headshot. The studio is located in the Center for Career and Professional Development, Galloway 102. Students can schedule their headshot through Handshake.

 

Career Readiness Microcredential Program

The Career Readiness Microcredential program equips students with the competencies that employers look for in new hires. Credentials are awarded in the following areas: Career & Self Development, Communication, Critical Thinking, Global Fluency & Awareness, Professionalism, Leadership, Teamwork, and Technology.
