The position is available for a Doctoral Student with research and teaching assistantship. The candidate must have a Master Degree with Thesis from Engineering Mechanics, or Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science and Engineering. The candidate should have a solid background in solid mechanics and computational mechanics, with programming skills. GRE (Verbal + Math) >1200 (old GRE scale) is required.

The student will be possibly involved in the following topics:

• Reliability mechanics in microelectronic systems
• Multi-physics/multi-scale modeling and simulation
• Multi-physics/multi-scale material characterization
