The College of Engineering hosts and encourages students to participate in any number of Engineering Student Organizations! These student organizations across all five departments, with a Student Engineering Council (SEC) serving as the governing body.

The SEC is comprised of members from multiple student organizations, coordinates events throughout the year, and develops plans to increase student involvement.

The Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers at Lamar University fosters technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. The purpose of the branch is to cultivate interest, skills, and connections for the advancement of technology through the past, present, and future members of IEEE.

IISE - Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers

The Institute of Industrial and System Engineers promotes a better understanding of the Industrial Engineering profession by an organized effort of group study, research, discussion, and action. They promote a professional attitude among members, and encourage members to take the Engineer-In-Training examination and to obtain their individual registration as Registered Professional Engineers as rapidly as possible.
