Awards and Funding

Kevin Dodson

In April 2017, the executive board of Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 95 at Lamar University provided a gift of $22,000 to establish this endowment to honor Dr. Kevin Dodson's service "for the love of learning." Annually, Lamar University student and/or faculty members of Phi Kappa Phi will receive funding in the amount of either $1,000 or two $500 awards to further the mission of the Society.


Dr. Dodson is the Founding Dean of Lamar University's Reaud Honors College and immediate past president of Chapter 95 of Phi Kappa Phi.


Criteria


 

  • Recipient/s must be member/s of Lamar University Phi Kappa Phi Chapter #95.
  • Recipients must have applied for one of the awards or grants available through the National Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi.
  • Recipients will be awarded funds based on the same merits and for the same purposes as awards at the national level.
