The Lamar University Master of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering will deepen your knowledge about various aspects of electrical and computer engineering beyond what you learned as an undergraduate. You will have the opportunity to participate in research and contribute something new to the field by conducting experiments and taking part in research publications.
Admission standards are designed to ensure that all enrolled students are qualified professionals serving in a leadership role in their engineering discipline. The primary requirements are as follows:
1. All College of Graduate Studies general degree requirements.
2. A minimum of 30 semester hours of elective ECE graduate courses. A maximum of 6 hours of non ECE-courses in related fields can be counted if approved by the department graduate advisor. For the list of graduate courses (5000 and 6000), please check the course catalog.
3. Satisfactory completion of a final comprehensive examination.
