LU's Cardinalette Feature Twirler

The Showcase features a highly exclusive role of "Feature Twirler." The feature twirler is also known as our "Cardinalette." She is responsible for providing the Showcase with a dynamic visual flair and being a first-class ambassador for the University.

Since 2020, our Cardinalette has been Kristin Hebert, a Nederland native, graduate of the TALH program, and Presidential Scholar. 

Fall 2024 Audition Information

To apply for the Feature Twirler position beginning Fall 2024, please download the following PDF and complete all steps. 

Application deadline is January 13, 2024 by 11:59pm.

Questions regarding the process should be directed to Dr. Eric Shannon, Director of Athletic Bands (eshannon@lamar.edu). Questions regarding anything related to the performance/technique/twirling side of the audition should be directed to Lauren Stepan, LU Twirling Instructor (colelau000@gmail.com).

NOTE: Candidates MUST be accepted to LU before they can be chosen as the Feature Twirler. In order to not delay the selection process, prospective twirlers should apply to LU sooner than later.
