Thesis/Dissertation Workshop

Each term (fall, spring, and summer) the College of Graduate Studies presents a thesis and dissertation workshop to answer questions about your process and the requirements thereof for finalizing your dissertation or thesis for ProQuest publication as required by the Graduate College.

This 1-hour asynchronous workshop is mandatory as part of your thesis-dissertation approval process.

When to Register

You will need to register into the workshop in the term you graduate.

As soon as you register in your last term, we will send you a template to use for formatting your document.

Registration Steps

You must RSVP for the workshop. Please see our calendar for these and other important dates. Complete Register Now (PDF) and then email it to gradeditor@lamar.edu to RSVP. We will invite you to one or more Q&A sessions in MS Teams each term to offer guidance.

The workshop (in Blackboard format under the Organizations tab) will provide information and ask you to complete a short assignment (Assignment One) that sets up a document in a ProQuest-acceptable form. After that step, you will be guided through two editing rounds by the editing team at gradeditor@lamar.edu, leading to the final upload of your document to ProQuest.
