Automatic sealing of standard-sized gummed envelopes for mailing is provided for by the Mail center.
For ten or more envelopes requiring sealing, leave the flaps open, nest the envelopes into each other and then secure the contents of the envelopes with an elastic band. Forwarded to Mail center in this manner, the envelopes bypass sorting and are directly moved to the sealing and metering machine.
Note: Envelopes that are received with the flaps closed will be returned for flapping to the originator.
Several sizes and types of corrugated boxes are stocked in the Mail center in limited quantities. The clerk will prepare, package, process and mail each item forwarded to Mail center accompanied with an addressed label and a completed Mailing Service Request Form.
