Lamar Proficiency Test

LU College of Education and Human Development is dedicated to every student's continued success aligned with TEA requirements.

Undergraduate candidates seeking approval for the TExES State Exam(s) are required to take the Lamar Proficiency Test (LPT) to ensure that candidates have the skills, knowledge and concepts while demonstrating the proficiencies to successfully pass the state certification exams. The LPT is a prerequisite for clinical teaching/residency candidates.
Please note: Lamar Proficiency Tests Eligibility is subject to change at any given time.
