‘Because of my education at Lamar University I was able to achieve all career goals that I wanted… . I mean Lamar was the foundation of my career. It's been the foundation of my husband's career who’s an attorney here in town. He went to Lamar here. Six of our eight children went to Lamar University. And with that we had the ones that are a doctor, an engineer, an attorney, and a teacher. We had two that played baseball here at Lamar as Cardinals and one was pitcher, one was like outfield and really fast. So, we spanned generations here on Lamar campus. My daughters-in-law are nurse, teacher, and interior designer, and all of them attended Lamar University and it served us well.’
