‘I transferred to Lamar University in 1999. Both my parents and my grandmother went to Lamar University. I got a double major in History and Political Science in 2001 from Lamar University. This has always been the local university. Like I said, I'm a third-generation graduate of Lamar University. It’s a reason why I'm back in Beaumont working in my professional career (assistant district attorney). I support the university. I'm still a fan of the university. I enjoy when it succeeds, and I've been happy with what I've heard about. I'm still very supportive of the university, and it made me who I am.’
