B.S. in Biology, Class of 2024
Interviewed by Jenee Webb on 03/06/2023
‘I became associated with Lamar University in 2019. We went on the tour during the summer for Cardinal Career. I think it was like Cardinal Day and I fell in love with the campus and after that I wanted to attend really bad. It impacted me on breaking generational curses because I'm the first one in my family to go to college. Also, it gave me a numerous amount of job opportunities. And Lamar has a lot of departments that they don't advertise a lot. So, it's like they have a career program where they help you make your resume better. They put your classes that you've taken into your resume as like a job description. Like they place into a job description. What else? It got me out my shell. I'm more social in the activities they have on campus. I don't just stay in my room. So, it impacted me in a good way. If you have an opportunity to visit Lamar or tour, I highly recommend it. You'll love the campus, and you'll love the school.’
