‘I started attending Lamar in 2007 after I graduated high school, and I just knew of it from being born in Beaumont. My dad went to Lamar and so I always assumed that I would go to Lamar. I enjoyed all my classes at Lamar, especially the electives that I took, like taking the Spanish. I remember my English teacher being amazing. She was a really good influence and making new friends was amazing. I had all-around a really good experience. I was working too many hours to be able to do anything else besides attending 18 hours of class.’
