‘I first got associated with Lamar back when I was a senior in high school. I had two family friends who attended Lamar at the time, and they were both engineering majors, and I was undecided on what major and college I should go to. They talked about Lamar University and said that it was a great school. The professors were amazing. And that's when I chose to attend Lamar University.’
‘So, when I first arrived in Lamar in 2017, the first week, the week of welcome, helped me become more social. All the events that they had, made all the students want to go out and visit with people. It was a lot of fun. Lamar has also exposed me to a lot of different cultures. It also helped me become more independent. Being away from home, you got to learn what you got to have and what you can't have. Most of the professors are always encouraging me to keep going.’
