‘The thing that I really liked at Lamar was that the classes were smaller… once I did graduate, I was able to get a job very easily….in 1979, a job came open at what used to be Gulf State Utilities and because I was kind of local and going to school at Lamar, they hired me for that job really easily so I just kind of stepped into the role. It was in human resources.’
