Interviewed by Keelia’Nae Landry-Yowman on 03/01/2023
‘I became associated with Lamar university in 2008 as a freshman. I enrolled as a student. Yes, as a freshman at Lamar University. I was a typical student because I'm from Beaumont. You know I just went to school. After that I began working in ministry. And decided to go back to Lamar University. To be connected to a broader audience which is young adults I believe that may have been around 2013 or 2014. I went back to Lamar University to start working with young adults in the organization called the Relentless LU Cru. So, from 2013 maybe 2014 until now, 2023, that has been my tie to Lamar University. So, I always say I may not have done a lot as an undergrad, but I decided to pour back in after graduation. There has been a drastic change from when I was there in 2008 until now. I get jealous of the new…Chick-Fil-A and Smoothie King and Panda Express. And not to say that I did not enjoy Marigolds and the things that were offered to us. But I'm really excited for what's happening on the campus of Lamar University. I'm grateful to see the new upgrades at Lamar University.’
