‘When I graduated from high school in 1975, I knew I would be going to Lamar, and it was a very good experience. I did all four years there. I started off as a Math major but changed my major to Education in my second semester and specialized in Math. So, I have an elementary education degree with a specialization in Math and all the professors in the Education Department and Math Department were just great…. I’ve kept up my association with Lamar by having Lamar interns in my classroom for the last 20 years. I have taught for 42 years, and it was a great experience through Lamar to get me ready to teach those years. So, that’s my story with Lamar.’
