‘I began my journey at Lamar University in the year 2020. I am a Criminal Justice major, and I have absolutely loved Lamar University and all that it has to offer. Our school is known for engineering, but our Criminal Justice Department is outstanding. I definitely feel like we should promote Criminal Justice Department more because it has grounded my foundation and what I know and what is going to help me to be successful in my career path. So, yay for criminal justice.’

‘There are so many ways that Lamar University has impacted me in a positive way, but one major thing that has happened in my term at Lamar has especially been my obtaining a position as an orientation leader for the campus. I am basically the first face that all freshmen see when they get here. This was most definitely the scariest position I've ever obtained because I kind of am shy and kind of standoffish. But having that chance to really break through and speak to all the new students and be some type of guidance and mentor has literally been the best thing for me here. And I have made so many connections through that position.’

‘Lamar University should be everyone's first choice. It wasn't my first choice for many different reasons. I thought I wanted to go off to a bigger university, but since I've been here, I have literally loved every moment of it. So, I would say any student that wants to come to Lamar University it is going to be definitely ground and make a very prominent foundation for his success in life.
